April 17 marked another strong tournament showing at Stinger’s Sports Bar & Grill. 15 players entered the $5 tournament to try to claim the 9-ball championship.
The winner, Ken Gouso walked away with $140 without losing a game. Coming in second, Ricky
Tyrell just missed the win, losing only to Gouso, and leaving with $70 in tournament winnings.
Todd Rowitz rounded out the top three, after battling through the loser’s bracket to take home $40.
The tournament was standard 9-ball, with a one-and-two under handicap set.
Tournament Director Jimmy Brewer said all of the players were putting on some of the best pool he’d seen.
“I played, but I always get knocked out early. These guys are really good,” he said.
Stinger’s holds tournaments weekly on Tuesdays, and is at 10040 N. 43rd Ave. Make sure to check out their new “Dart Room.”
