Mike, Why do so many people get excited about the NDA Vegas tournament, they seem to plan a year in advance to go?

It is a special tournament that you have to go at least once to understand what it is about.

One great thing is you can be a beginner and play people from all over the world with the same skill level.  You meet people from different states and countries and make friends for life with some of them.

For Arizona players, it is even more special because they party together, go places together and hang out together.

Since 1990, I think Arizona has ranked 1st or 2nd on how many players attend the tournament.

You can see the top soft tip players in the world battle in singles , doubles and team events.  You can see players from our great country compete on Team USA against the best of the best from all over the world.

It can be a 10 day party with lots of fun and lots of darts.  Some players take their only vacations of the year at the tournament, others have been known to quit their jobs so they could go. Sounds crazy? It’s happened and more than once.

Many of our players have moved and now play in other states and they get a chance to see their former teammates and see how well each is shooting.

For many years, a player from Germany named Stephan would bring me a bottle of wine from his home town in Germany.  It is crazy when you play a team and they have their own interpreter.   It is also a great time to show the rest of the soft tip world how good players from the USA are, and especially from our great state.

Many players have had the honor of going to Vegas and representing our state and our country.

It is the best time you can have, and it’s a great party.
