Jason Polk, Rick Armbrust and George Teyechea

June 16th was the first time Stingers held a 9 and under monthly tournament.  It was also the first time we did a staggered entry fee, in hopes it would accommodate a wider range of skill levels.  30 players showed up to battle it out playing bar box 10 ball.

Rick Armbrust and Jason Polk decided to split 1st and 2nd after Jason beats Rick in the first set of the finals.  Rick sat in the hot seat after making his way though opponents; Burt Balancad, Robin Clark, Sara Miller, Curtis Elifritz, and George Teyechea for the hot seat.

Jason won his 1st match against Jason Sweet, but lost his second match to George Teyechea.  That started his journey though the one loss side. He made his way though JR Ascencion, Donald Mangahas, Sara Miller, Frank Alvarez, Curtis Elfritz, and Al Moreno to win the one loss side.

Jason continued on his hot streak and when faced with Rick, he was able to beat him 8-3 in the first set of the finals..  Rick had already secured the $30 winner take all since Jason did not enter it.  The two decided to split rather than continue on playing after a full day.
